Sullivans Island Beach Renovation Atlantic Ave broke ground Tuesday Sept. 4 at a beautiful beach front home on the Isle of Palms. The owners, looking to bring new life into their already fabulous home, contracted with Sea Island Builders after learning of the new features that Sea Island Builders could bring into their home. Among the features being added are a spacious 19.5' wide X 8' high Nanawall retractable glass door system. The unit itself is designed to meet the stringent building code of Sullivans Island and the surrounding barrier islands. This system will be comprised of six large glass panels with the middle two acting as operable french doors. Once opened, the living area of this home will flow into the screened in porch giving a whole new dynamic to the home. Also among the items being added is a modern view through fireplace. The fireplace will be visible from both the dining room and living room bringing a whole new feel to the room. Incorporated into the design will be a modern floating hearth. This Sullivans Island beach renovation is scheduled to be completed in three months, with the owner occupants living at home throughout the renovation. These are not the only features being added to this beautiful beach home. Most of the interior walls are being moved, bathrooms remodeled, floors and spiral staircases being refinished, a six foot wet bar with mirrored backsplash and glass shelving with flowthrough lighting being added...need we say more?
