Sullivan's Island, South Carolina
Our clients took one look at the tree-lined path to the Atlantic Ocean, visible from the second floor, and knew they wanted to make this home their idyllic retreat from a busy life in the city. Originally constructed in 2001, this 5,022 SF front row beach house on Sullivan's Island had dated interiors and a layout that did not work for the family's modern day lifestyle. The clients engaged Herlong & Associates and Interiors by Herlong to provide architecture and design selections for the project. Sea Island Builders provided pre-construction services to support the project during the design phase. This complete interior renovation included the following: removing walls to reconfigure the layouts of the first and second floors; total kitchen transformation, including the addition of a new scullery and home office; and updated bathroom, bedroom and main living spaces. Additionally, blower door testing was performed to identify and help eliminate existing sources of air infiltration. The home is now an energy efficient, well-sealed, updated beauty fit for modern day living. This complete interior transformation of the 5 bedroom 5.5 bath home was completed in 9 months.
