Happy 2019! We hope everyone enjoyed the holiday season and is off to a great start in 2019! We have a lot of exciting news to share with you starting with our new team members! We are thrilled to announce the hiring of James Arthur and Ruben Gutierrez! James joins SIB as senior production manager after previously serving as Principal of Sceltas Build & Consult. Ruben joins SIB as executive superintendent having amassed over 20 years of in-the-field experience working as a framing and trim carpenter. We are very excited to have such valuable assets choosing to be a part of our growing team.
James Arthur - Senior Production Manager
We welcome James Arthur to the SIB team to serve as Senior Production Manager to manage projects during the Pre-Construction Services Phase. James previously worked for 8 years with Cobb Architects before beginning his own Design-Build firm which he ran for 10 years. James is very experienced with design, budgeting, scheduling, and in working with clients to aid them through decision making during the Pre-Construction Phase. James is a Clemson University graduate with a degree in architecture and enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids at their Mt. Pleasant home.
Ruben Gutierrez - Executive Superintendent
Ruben Gutierrez chose Sea Island Builders as the next step in elevating his lifelong construction career. Ruben previously worked with Palmetto Craftsman where he mainly served as Superintendent overseeing historic restoration projects in downtown Charleston, SC. Ruben is a native Spanish speaker and serves as an amazing bridge to the Hispanic community.
We'd like to say a BIG thank you to all who participated in this year's Holiday Food Drive! Together we donated 484 lbs of food to the Lowcountry Food Bank! It brings us great joy knowing we made such an impact on many lives in our community. None of this could have been possible without your generosity and for that we say thank you!
