Isle of Palms Custom Home

Sea Island Builders completed this Isle of Palms custom home in 2007. This custom stick built home is based on a original design by Carl McCants. The owner's wanted to incorporate a touch of the oriental in the design which can be seen through the unique stained arches around the exterior of the home.

This Isle of Palms custom home is located on Hamlin Creek with breathtaking views of the Intracoastal Waterway. The Ipe decks with Stainless Steel rods incorporated into the exterior railings really maximize the views. The materials used in the construction of this luxury home are as beautiful as they are low maintenance. The owners of this home love the gorgeous silver look of the Ipe which is apparent after several months of aging. The wood, being extremely stable, is liable to last the entire lifetime of its occupants. Moving into the interior, immediately visable is a beautiful stained groin vault in the entryway along with other gorgeous woodwork in the interior. The open and connected living room, dining room, and kitchen layout take advantage of the amazing views over Hamlin Creek, while allowing plenty of light to penetrate the interior.

Ipe decks with stainless steel cable railing sprawl from every angle of this house, including the roof! A private pool, hotub, and waterfall really bring a luxurious feel to the first floor deck, with great privacy created by the unique custom design. On the third floor, a small room is built out with a wet bar and ice maker which allows the owners to entertain on the third story with french doors opening up onto a spacious third story porch. From here you can catch amazing sunsets down Hamlin Creek and even see the Atlantic Ocean when looking beachward.
