Sea Island Builders Wins 2019 Prism Award

The Charleston Home Builders Association recently held their 31st Annual PRISM Awards Gala and the Sea Island Builders team was honored to take home the award for Best Remodeled Home in the $950,000-$1 Million Category for our Charleston Harbor Front Estate Project

This project was the result of creative thinking and great teamwork as we helped our clients transform a dated 2000's era home into warm, inviting and stylish space designed for modern family living and entertaining. This included removing load bearing walls and installing large 40' steel beams to support the new open concept floor plan. Additionally, all cabinetry, counter tops, floors, plumbing, and lighting were removed throughout the home and updated with modern selections in line with the clients' style. Impact rated doors and windows were installed throughout. The door openings and headers were enlarged and raised to accommodate the new larger doors which allow for unparalleled views of the picturesque Charleston Harbor. The Sea Island Builders team worked hard to deliver a quality project and a five-star client experience.

The PRISM Awards and Gala was developed in 1988 by the Charleston Home Builders Association's Sales & Marketing Council to recognize excellence in the field of sales, marketing, construction, and the promotion of new homes. Over the years, the PRISM Awards and Gala has grown to encompass the growing market segments of the housing industry, such as green building, remodeling, development and the Associate Membership sector. Since 1959, the Charleston Home Builders Association (CHBA) has served as the leading non-profit organization dedicated to the future of the Lowcountry, encouraging growth and development within four counties – Charleston, Dorchester, Berkeley and Colleton. The CHBA works with organizations, including government, to promote and protect homeownership.
